After a Michelin Inspection in 2007, Lough Rynn Castle Estate & Gardens was included as a destination in the 2008 Michelin Guide after “a very high precedent that was set at the inspection day and we are delighted to include such a prestigious property on our guide listing” Jean-Luc Naret, Directeur des guides Michelin.

Caroline Morahan picked the Sandstone Restaurant in Lough Rynn Castle Estate & Gardens saying: “I brought my mum there for a weekend and we had an amazing time, with our meal in the Sandstone restaurant being the highlight. We were walking around the grounds and we met the chef hand-picking the herbs from the herb garden for the evening meal. The atmosphere is lovely and quaint, in an old school way. Incredibly, the whole thing didn’t cost an arm and a leg, the prices were very competitive for what we had. The staff were great too. They had a perfect balance of not being in our faces but always there if we needed something or if we had a question about the menu. The Sandstone Restaurant everything is amazing, from the bread to the dessert to the wine.”
