Suggested Itinerary - Day One

  • Leitrim really has so much to offer, during your break at Lough Rynn Castle, after breakfast
  • Enjoy a leisurely stroll around our 300 acre estate & see nature at its best in the Walled Gardens
  • On route to Lough Key Forest park , stop off in the picturesque town of Carrick on Shannon for a stroll along the river.
  • From there continue towards Sligo and visit to Glencar Waterfalls and be moved by mother nature, while stopping to visit the grave site of W.B Yeats, continue a little further to Mullaghmore beach while taking in panoramic views of the Atlantic ocean.
  • Return to Lough Rynn Castle for a fine dining experience in our Sandstone Restaurant followed then relax in the oversized sofa’s of the drawing rooms, and soak in the views

  • Why not enjoy a Picnic on Lough Rynn Castles 300 acre estate
  • Visit Arigna Mining Experience  – a guided tour from a miners own perspective
  • Afterwards enjoy some water activies at Acres Lake such as Stand up paddle boarding or Pedalos
  • Followed by a walk or cycle on Shannon Blueway 
  • Before returning to the Castle visit Farnaught Lime Kiln which dates back to the mid 19th century- where the lime stone for the castle was produced, this well-built stone house formed part of the model Lough Rynn Estate and is located on the estate
  • Then retire to Lough Rynn Castle for a meal in our Drawing rooms, followed by cocktails in the Dungeon Bar
